BiB Long Service Awards
Long-serving employees at the North-East’s leading insurance broker have been honoured after clocking up a century of dedication between them.BiB, based in Northgate, Darlington, rewarded seven members of staff for their impressive commitment to the business at a special ceremony.Company chairman Martin Littleton heaped praise on the employees as three; Brian Jackson, Helen Snowdon and Colin Wallace received 20 year service awards and four; Kelly Larmour, Vanessa Park, Anthony Murray and Jacqui Watson were commended for a decade with BiB.BiB now boasts seven members of staff who have served more than 20 years and 16 with more than ten years’ service, from its team of 100.The company runs its own staff training scheme leading to professional insurance qualifications while an in-house management training programme also ensures that staff can progress to become the industry leaders of the future.Mr Littleton, who was one of the founders of BiB, said: “We started the business as a family firm in Bedale, North Yorkshire, more than 25 years ago and, as we have grown bigger, we have been able to maintain most of the key elements of being a family firm. It is not always easy, as it is not always easy with families, but it is well worth it. It is extremely pleasing to see yet another group of our employees receiving their long service awards. Their dedication and commitment is what makes BiB the respected company that it is and we are very grateful for the contribution everyone makes to the business.”
