BIBA Launches Cunningham Lindsey UK Valuations Scheme

BIBA Launches Cunningham Lindsey UK Valuations Scheme The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched a new valuations scheme with partner member Cunningham Lindsey Valuation Services.

The valuation service specialises in building reinstatement valuations for insurance purposes. Cunningham Lindsey UK has negotiated a unique ‘average waiver guarantee’ for up to three years with many leading insurers.

Cunningham Lindsey Valuation Services provides BIBA members with full UK coverage and centralised access to the company’s dedicated valuations team. The Valuation Surveyors, comprising both chartered surveyors and qualified loss adjusters, draw on their extensive knowledge of the costs associated with property reinstatement, following an insurable loss - whether it is commercial, domestic, farm buildings, listed or historic buildings, community and recreational buildings.

There are a broad range of benefits to the broker, the policyholder and the insurer:
• Competitively priced for BIBA members
• Supported and endorsed by a number of major insurers who provide ‘average waiver guarantees’ to policyholders
• Helps to build client relationships
• Avoid potential PI claims.
• Peace of mind for the policyholder on the adequacy of sums insured – avoiding under and over insurance
• It helps broker to meet their FSA obligations
• Assists in business continuity following a loss

Sean Durden, Valuation Services Manager, said: “Cunningham Lindsey has established a good reputation over the past eight years for delivering a valuation service to the insurance market. We are delighted to have secured BIBA’s endorsement and we look forward to expanding this service amongst their membership.”

Graeme Trudgill, Manager, Technical Services, BIBA, added, “This market leading valuation service will help members to establish sums insured quickly and efficiently and is a useful value added service for new and existing customers.”
